Przygodę z Leicą zacząłem przed laty. Początkowo robiłem zdjęcia z pomocą aparatu cyfrowego, potem doszły analogowe.
Moim najstarszym modelem jest Leica I z 1929 roku. Naturalnie nie jestem w stanie konkurować ze znanymi mi kolekcjonerami. Z biegiem czasu poznałem kilku. Zdobyłem ich zaufanie, mogłem poznać ich zbiory (nie jest to takie oczywiste choćby ze względu na cenę tych aparatów).
Jako zawodowy historyk zacząłem z biegiem czasu kompletować także literaturę, by zdobyć odpowiednie zaplecze merytoryczne mojej pasji. Udało mi się pozyskać najważniejsze pozycje, stanowią one bardzo dobry punkt wyjścia do rozważań podcastu.
Moje zainteresowania i entuzjazm dzielę z koleżankami i kolegami z Leica HISTORICA e.V., stowarzyszenia międzynarodowych historyków amatorów tego aparatu fotograficznego, którego jestem członkiem. Wydawane przez nie czasopismo „Vidom” jest przejawem wielkiej miłości do tej marki, ale też dużej estetycznej wrażliwości. W 2026 roku zostałem wybrany do jego zarządu. Jestem także członkiem Stowarzyszenia Historyków Fotografii, członkiem nadzwyczajnym Fotoklubu RP (nr legitymacji 1336) i Klubu Miłośników Sportów Lotniczych.
Zdjęcia wykonane moimi aparatami opublikowałem w różnych książkach i czasopismach. Udostępniłem również kilka fotobooków. Ponadto swoje zdjęcia zamieszczam regularnie na blogu o fotografii.

I started my adventure with Leica years ago. At first I took pictures with the help of a digital camera, then the analog ones came.
My oldest model is a Leica I from 1929. Naturally, I am not able to compete with the collectors I know. Over time, I got to know a few. I gained their trust and was able to get to know their collections (this is not so obvious if only because of the price of these cameras).
As a professional historian, I also began to collect literature over time to gain the proper background for my passion. I managed to acquire the most important items, and they provide a very good starting point for the reflections of the podcast.
I share my interests and enthusiasm with colleagues at Leica HISTORICA e.V., an association of international amateur historians of the camera, of which I am a member. The magazine they publish, Vidom, reflects not only a deep passion for the brand but also a strong sense of aesthetics. In 2026, I was elected to its board.
I am also a member of the Association of Photographic Historians, an associate member of the Polish Photographic Society (membership card no. 1336) and the Aviation Sports Enthusiasts Club.
I have published photos taken with my camera in various books and magazines and have made available several photobooks. In addition, I post my photos regularly on a blog about photography.
